Sharpen up your players’ technical skills and reactions to transitions in this three-part session.
This 7v7 small-sided game allows us to apply combinations and support in realistic game scenarios.
Set up a 60x40 area, with two goals at each end. Teams set up in 1-2-3-1 formation. Place an agility ladder and poles at the end of each area.
Teams aim to work together to try to score in the opposition’s goal. All outfield players must be in the attacking half for the goal to count. The player that scores must then remove themselves from the game and perform an agility drill off the pitch. Now that there’s a transition, the team in possession will look to quickly take advantage of the overload, before the recovering player rejoins the game.
