Develop touch, movement and passing in tight areas to break into space and create.
This three-part session develops combination play in tight areas.
Set up an area relative to the age and ability of your players. We have based this on a 30-yard square with four small five-yard squares on the corners. Set up with 6v6 if possible, but numbers can be adjusted to suit your squad.
The practice begins with an initial 6v6 possession in the area. If a player receives in space, they must look to dribble into a corner box and must dribble back out the other side. This will gain their team one point. Play for around 10 minutes.
