Develop touch, movement and passing in tight areas to break into space and create.
This three-part session develops combination play in tight areas.
Set up as in the previous practices but add in two mini goals at the top and bottom of the area.
The practice begins with an initial 4v4 possession box with two players from each side in diagonally opposite boxes to receive. The player who receives must then dribble out into the pitch. They then must pass into a team-mate to shoot towards goal. A 10-second time limit is enforced for shooting at goal.
Progression: Progress to the boxes being vacant and players having to move into a box to receive the ball.
