An activity which encourages players to support team-mates and win back the ball.
Forces players to cover appropriately and then recover to try to stop players gaining points.
Set up an area suitable for your players. Within it, mark out a halfway line and two end zones.
Play 7v7. One team starts with the ball in one of the end zones. Teams win a point for a player dribbling into an end zone or two points for a player playing a ball for a team-mate to run onto in an end zone. The team can then try to do the same in the other end zone.
The player receiving the ball cannot be in the end zone before the ball is played. Other players can be in the end zone, though. The offside law applies. The out of possession team must look to win the ball back and start an attack of their own.
