Develops players’ ability to support the player on the ball and take an effective touch into the area they want to go, with the aim of scoring goals.
Mark out a small pitch relative to the age and ability of your players. Place two small goals at the end of each pitch.
Play 3v3 in the area. The coach sets restrictions on either touches – three or four touches, for example – or a number of passes to be completed, before the teams can try to score a goal. Each time a team scores a goal they gain a point.
