Set out a rectangular area, relative to the age, ability and number of your players. Create a small end zone at one end with a small goal situated just away from the pitch. At the opposite end, set up a gate. Split players into three roles: attacker, defender and server. They start as shown in the illustration.
The defender runs to the server and taps them on the shoulder. Once this happens, the server passes to the attacker who then enters the area and looks to score in the small goal. However, before they can do this, they must enter the end zone first. After tapping the server, the defender makes a recovery run and looks to stop the attacker from scoring. If they win the ball, the defender looks to dribble through the gate. After each go, the players rotate their roles.
Progress or regress by changing the position of all or some of the players or the gate and goal.
