Adapted from a Barcelona academy drill, competitive 1v1s with points, and forfeits, at stake.
Pits players against one other player, forcing them to battle and challenge for the ball.
Set up an area relevant to the size of your group, with a number of small, triangular areas marked out. Players compete 1v1. Each pair has a ball.
One player from each pair starts with the ball and tries to dribble through a triangular area to gain a point. They cannot go directly back through the same area. The opponent attempts to win the ball from them. If they do so, they become the attacker and try to dribble through a triangular area for a point.
The game continues in this fashion. The player with the most points at the end is the winner. The pairs count up their own points and if they can’t agree on the score at the end of the game, they must do a forfeit.
