This practice encourages attackers to take on opponents with perfect balance, tricks and disguise.
Puts players in a situation where they will have to beat an opponent using their dribbling skills.
Set up a rectangular area relative to the age, ability and number of your players. Split the area in two, with one half bigger than the other. A small goal is positioned just outside of the smaller half.
Three players operate in each area. An attacker starts on the end line. A server starts on the sideline. A defender starts on the line that splits the area. The server passes the ball to the attacker, who must beat the defender to get into the second half of the area. On doing so, they look to pass into the goal. If the defender wins the ball, they must run it over the end line. Rotate the players through the positions.
