Use this fast-paced activity to help your team’s attacking players to dribble past defenders and then shoot at goal.
This fast-paced game encourages player awareness and pushes them to score quickly.
Set up a square relative to the age and ability of your players, with a smaller square inside it. Place a one small goal on each side of the bigger area.
Split your players into two teams and some neutral players – our example has two teams of three and two neutrals. These neutrals players play for whichever team is in possession.
That team must work the ball from the inside area to the outside area to be able to score and gain a point. They can do this by dribbling into the outside area or playing a ball into the area.
If the defending team wins the ball back, they become the attacking team and the neutrals join them.
If the ball is won back in the outside area, it must go back into the middle area and out again before a goal can be scored.
