A fun, fast-paced and competitive activity which will help players develop their ball skills
This session is fun, fast-paced and competitive, allowing players to develop their dribbling skills in a chaotic scenario.
Set up an area relevant to the size of your group, with a line a third of the way in marking out an end zone, and a goal at the opposite end with a goalkeeper in. Four teams of two compete in the area.
A yellow player starts with the ball in the end zone. They must move the ball over the end zone line before they can bring their team-mates into play.
The other three teams compete to win the ball. They can score by stealing it, or cashing in on rebounds.
If the ball goes out, the coach passes it to a team behind the dotted line, who then launch an attack.
When a team scores a goal, they leave the pitch. The last team left on the pitch is the losing team.
- Where is the space to move into?
- When you have the ball, can you move quickly to get into that space?
- Can you anticipate a rebound to get a goal?
