Welcome to a special double issue of Soccer Coach Weekly!
As well as the usual blend of activities, articles and interviews, we also bring you an eight-page look at our sister title Women's Soccer Coaching, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary.
We speak to WSC's editor Hannah Duncan about the last 12 months and her experiences of coaching youth soccer. We also asked coaches to recommend to SCW readers their favourite WSC issue.
With Christmas just around the corner, we provide some tips to add a festive twist to your final training session of the year, while six coaches also discuss the importance of switching off over the upcoming break. Our column this week has been penned by Steph Fairbairn, who reports back on a feedback session she did with her Under-13s team. Steph has also interviewed London Bees head coach Sian Osmond, who talks about her rapid ascent through different roles at the club.
Northern Ireland Under-21s assistant manager Mark Patterson provides the session plan in this issue, centred around adventurous passing. We also have an activity from Oxford United girls' coach Ron Porter. If you wish to send a session plan or practice to us, email production@soccercoachweekly.net.
This is our last issue before the festive period. For those who celebrate it, merry Christmas - the next SCW will be dropping into your inboxes on December 31.
Have a great Christmas!
